Member Benefits

Help Handed™ is a place for making important connections. Whether you join to find help or give it, your life can improve from meeting other members. We’ve made it easy and transparent to make those connections.

“We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men.”

Herman Melville

Why Join Help Handed to Find Help?

Not everyone has people they can call on for help. Help Handed connects you with people in your community who are willing to provide it when needed. You can share your request, review volunteers who offer, and choose who you feel confident moving forward with.

If you don’t have a large circle of friends or family to rely on, Help Handed is your chance to start building one.

Help Handed provides direct access to the people in your community who are ready to volunteer to help others.

You Don’t Need to Fit a Cause

You don’t have to meet specific age, income, or health criteria to ask for help. Just share the details of your situation; your community is listening.

Meet Before Getting Help

You can view volunteer profiles and choose who you feel comfortable with before accepting help. You’ll contact the accepted helper prior to the day of help to explain your need, answer questions, and get to know them before meeting in person.

Control Access to Your Personal Information

We protect your contact information and only share it with members whose help you’ve accepted.

We never share your address.

It’s More Than a One-Time Favor

Even for one-time help, you might meet someone who becomes a lasting connection in your community.

Why Join Help Handed to Give Help?

Help Handed is for people who believe in helping others. If you already lend a hand to family or neighbors, this is your chance to extend that kindness to someone without a support network. Help Handed makes it easy to find them.

For volunteers, Help Handed provides transparency into the specific people in your community who need help.

Know What’s Needed Before Offering Help

Each request includes details about the requesting member and the requested help, including the reason behind it, and what time or skills may be needed—so you can volunteer with confidence.

Meet Before Providing Help

After you’ve offered help and it’s been accepted, the other member will reach out to discuss the details and answer any questions before you show up.

Control Access to Your Personal Information

We protect your contact information and only share it with members who have accepted an offer of help from you.

We never share your address.

Feel the Impact Immediately

You’re not just helping a cause, you’re helping a person. See their appreciation firsthand and know your effort made a real difference.
