Give & Get Help Directly
Engage directly with your community whether you’re requesting help or providing it. As a help requester, you can request help in your own words and go directly to the community. As a volunteer, you know more about the request before committing, and you can offer help directly.
Meet Your New Connections Before Help Day
Help Handed provides transparency of the specific people you’ll be meeting. You’ll learn a bit about other members through their profiles before offering or accepting help, but you’ll also get to connect prior to the day of help.
Control Access to Your Contact Information
Your contact information is only shared with other members you connect with, and connections don’t happen until an offer of help from a volunteer is accepted by a help requester. We never expose your contact information for browsing by other non-connected members.
Build Relationships That Are Deeper Than Help Transactions
When you connect with someone through Help Handed, you’re not just getting a task done, you’re typically meeting someone in your community. Once you’ve connected, it’s up to you how often you stay in touch. Members may find themselves building lasting friendships and sharing help far beyond the first request.
